Protection of Your Data

There is no hundred percent protection. Data transmission over the Internet can always have security vulnerabilities. Therefore, I am very careful to protect your data from unauthorized access and knowledge by third parties using current technology and within my capabilities.

SSL/TLS Encryption

One of these protective measures is TLS encryption (also known by the old name "SSL") of our website. It protects your data from access by third parties during transmission. Security Monitoring and Auditing

For security monitoring and auditing, I create a data log on how my website is used by those who have or want to gain access to it. This information is collected by me for security and auditing purposes and is kept for 30 days.

The following can be logged:

User's IP address, user login and logout, changes to content and files, failed login attempts, manually blocked users, and access attempts to non-existent content.

To protect against so-called brute force attacks, the IP address is sent to spammer databases for comparison.

The collected information is only accessed by the administrators of the website and stored in the website's database. It is not shared with third parties, except in the case of requests from law enforcement agencies.

The data is stored because I have a legitimate interest in protecting my website from attacks and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of your data processed through these websites (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

Data Collection on Our Website

If You Send Me an Email

Note: Data transmission over the Internet (including emails) can always have security vulnerabilities, so complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible.

If you send me an email, I will store this data as long as necessary for the purpose. The legally required storage period for business letters (including fax and email) is 6 years according to § 257 HGB and remains unaffected. Contact Form

If you contact me via the contact form, the transmitted data and information for processing the inquiry and for follow-up questions will be stored with us. Since I do not check all comments before approval, I need this information to be able to take action against legal violations such as insults or propaganda against the author. IP addresses are automatically deleted after 60 days.

Subscribe to Comments

I offer you the option to subscribe to comments on my blog. If you use this option, I check through the double-opt-in procedure whether you are a user of the specified email address and have actually ordered the subscription yourself. For this, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. You can unsubscribe from this function at any time via a link in the info emails. If you unsubscribe from the info emails, your data for comment subscription will be deleted.

Duration of comments storage

The comments and associated data are stored on my website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments must be deleted because they violate applicable law.

Sharing Content on Social Networks

(Facebook, Google+1, Twitter & Co.)

I offer you the option to share my content on social networks. To enable this function, I use the privacy-compliant plugin Shariff Wrapper. Shariff Wrapper only establishes direct contact between the networks and you when you actively click on one of these share buttons.

No automatic transmission of your data to the network platforms takes place through this tool. If you are actively logged into one of these networks, an info window will open for sharing, where you can edit or confirm the text before submitting. The post is usually published under your user profile there. This means you can also delete the post yourself at any time.

In this type of sharing function, networks cannot create a complete surfing profile.

Objection to Promotional Emails

As part of the legal obligation according to § 5 TMG, I have published general contact data as well as an email address on my website. I hereby object to the use of this contact data for the unsolicited sending of informational materials, advertising, or spam emails that have not been explicitly requested by me.
